Business Analyst
As Business Analyst, you will join a team dedicated to finding the right solutions for our clients to support their vision, projected growth and desired customer experience.
The expectations for the role include:
- Supporting IT Strategy and Software Selection mandates for Akiri’s clients
- Understanding the business processes and needs; Documenting the business and system requirements that address these needs
- Translating complex technical details into simple terms for an executive audience to understand
- Expressing requirements at different levels of abstraction, using visual representations as required
- Keeping business stakeholders actively engaged and focused on identifying what needs to be achieved

Communicate and present concrete solutions
- Advise clients on ways to improve and innovate, taking into account human impacts as well as technology
- Help define and implement key business analysis methodologies, processes and tools
- Structure and assist in user acceptance testing
- Based in Montreal, some travel may be required
- Full time position
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in a role bridging IT and business
- Preference will be given to candidates with a strong expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Supply chain and logistics
- Manufacturing
- Retail
- Health care
- Public/Parapublic organization/Not-for-profit
- Customer Relationship Management
- Strong verbal, written communication, and facilitation skills
- Fluently bilingual (English/French) spoken and written
- Business analysis certification (ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA) an asset
- Must have a thorough knowledge of PC productivity tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio (Expert knowledge in the utilization of Excel is preferred).
- Proven ability to identify and formalize business needs, convert them into instances of use, user case histories and/or test case
- Solid problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical and information processing skills
- Ability to influence, persuade and initiate change in high-paced environments
